Troon decides

£1,800 funding secured for SeAscape’s “Pass It On Project”

We were delighted to have secured a whopping £1,800 from our Troon locality funding application to go towards our “Pass It On” project.

The project is still gaining momentum in Ayrshire and seeks to provide donated furniture and items to those most in need in our area. As you can imagine the costs of storage and delivery can be astronomical but at present are being covered through participatory budgeting schemes and the extensive fundraising  activities of our small but dedicated team.

Participatory  budgeting is recognised internationally as a way for local people and charities to have a direct say in how, and where, public funds can be used to address local needs.  It was born out of a desire to reallocate public money locally and democratically to where it is needed most.
