SeAscape were recently successful in securing funding for a pilot project called “Pass it On” at the Prestwick and Villages decision day.
The money was made available from the South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, the Scottish Government and South Ayrshire Council.
The funding will be used to enable us at, SeAscape “Pass it On” to source free goods in used but good condition and pass them on to our clients.
In addition to the goods, we would provide transport and an uplifting of certain items, PAT testing where applicable and ensuring they go to our clients who are socially disadvantaged.
This project will help eliminate the “revolving door” experience of many homeless people and would also help reduce landfills.
At present this pilot funding is confined to the Prestwick and villages locality but we are hoping to make further bids to other localities in South Ayrshire in an effort to roll this project out across them all and to fund this project in full.
